How I came into existence is a very interesting and inspiring story that will surely motivate you to never give up and take challenges head-on, especially as a parent. So, here it goes. There was a lean and thin girl of a comparatively shorter height (around 5 feet). But rather than being upset about it, she used to enjoy the attention the short stature got her. ‘What joy being a short girl!’, she thought. ‘I am always at the forefront, fit into my mother’s lap and daddy’s arms for a longer duration and also pampered more as a child. Looking small and young is so advantageous’. She was very happy in her ‘tiny’ space.

Growing up, though she was physically small, her dreams were big. She wanted to fly high and be an air hostess. Traveling to different countries and flying above the clouds fascinated her and she couldn’t wait to finish her studies and pursue her dream. But alas, the short height that had granted her so many privileges in childhood became the biggest obstacle to the realization of her dream. She tried many alternative therapies to increase her height but didn’t succeed. She was too late and well past the growing age now. She was shattered and heartbroken, to say the least. ‘If only had I taken remedial actions sooner….. if only had I been more active in sports, if only had I not taken my ‘shortness’ lightly…..if only!’, she blamed herself mercilessly. But the opportunity was now gone forever and her dream left unfulfilled.

Moving forward she grew up into a beautiful woman, successful in an alternate career but any visit to the airport still caused a silent ache in her heart. However, she learnt to smile through the pain.

Years later, married and mother of a handsome boy, she was happy and content now. She was enjoying every moment spent with her son and was reliving her childhood with the little boy, albeit too literally. Her son was also, not thriving appropriately and memories of her undernourished past started to haunt her and she began to panic. ‘I will not let my son go through the same rejections and disappointments’, she promised herself and started looking for solutions frantically.

Fortunately, discussing her anxieties with her doctor husband paved the way for new ideas and he decided to work towards the cause. Lack of awareness, poor dietary habits and most importantly, deteriorating quality of food has led to more and more children falling sick frequently thereby, affecting the overall child growth. And after years of research and experimentation, I (Pop the Gum) was created – An ideal growth supplement for kids.

And to be sure of my efficacy before introducing me to the world, I was gradually incorporated into the dietary schedule of their second son, from a very early age. ‘The elder son had missed the bus to some extent, but the younger one should not suffer at all’, they vowed.
